Hopefulness & Positivity

Hi everyone! Sage here! I wanted to let everyone know, I along with the Bluebird of Happiness and Ivy (a variegated Ivy plant) and Guy (a Pachira aquatica - Money Tree) have been quarantined with Angela, her husband Ivan and happy dog, Captain Jack. We are all doing fine!

I have I've been talking with Angela about the best way to get through all this. She reminded me that as long as we have each other and work together, we can overcome and get through anything!

I have to admit. I cried. I cried and was upset because I am afraid. And I feel ashamed. Here I am the Emotional Support Owl, being emotional! Angela told me that she cried too. She cried because she misses hugs, and her Mom, Dad, Sister, friends and family; and is a little anxious herself! She told me it's okay to feel what I feel and to cry. She told me to let it out. No use saving it up! - she said. She told me that this too shall pass. She said that being honest with our feelings is okay. She said that what is NOT okay, is to dwell on them and let negative thoughts and feelings drown us. She said that we have to pull ourselves up and refocus.

Her tips are:

1. Breathe

2. Keep a routine

3. Laugh!

4. Focus on one task at a time and don't rush through things

5. Count your blessings

6. Breathe

7. Reach out to others

8. Hold on to hope and positivity

9. Don't forget to sing! Listen to music, play music...it helps!

If we hold on to Hope, it means we believe things will get better and be okay! Holding on to positivity means that we are looking for the best and most positive in situations and things. And this all means that we are focusing on the good!

So, I'm taking one day at a time! Please take one day at a time with me! Let me know if you want me to talk about any particular topic or find more information about something....we are here to help!

Love and virtual Hugs,

Sage
